@awdev0Got some more progress done on the car.@awdev0I'm using Arduino IDE to debug some steering stuff for self driving RC car. LOOK AT THIS POTENTIOMETER GRAPH OOOOOOOOH BABY
@jdogcoder0Mini Ship! 🚢
Using N8N workflows, auto triggered by my car driving focus (auto triggered by my car bluetooth), when I start driving, my slack status now reflects that! (i considered tying in gps, that might be going a bit too far tho /s )
EDIT/UPDATE: I am also syncing my do not disturb, and other focus mode settings to here!
@Devnol0I haven't scrapbooked in years but I needed to justify this to my self somehow so here we go:
I found an old Black & Decker Dustbuster car vacuum in my basement and kinda needed exactly that for my desk and server room so I what every sensible human being would do and drilled a hole with a barrel jack for it. It used to have a long 12v car cord hard-wired to it so I snipped it off and made it work for both. Small issue is it's like 6amps and my desk psu only does 3ish but it's probably fine 🔥
@cwalker0Just picked up 70 empty vanilla flavoring jugs today. Car smells great.
Remember everyone: ALWAYS REDUNDANTLY SECURE YOUR LOADS. You can never have enough ratchet straps. And check them as you drive! During one of my checks today, I discovered the temperature drop after sunset caused the containers to shrink a bit, loosening the straps. Never would’ve been able to anticipate that!
@sam0Another interesting Shad :shad: day! Had a workshop on indigenous Inuit art and 🪡 sewing. Also visited the University of Calgary’s solar car ☀️ team. Super cool how it can keep driving with just the sun.
@cwalker0Skid plate is on! Forgot to take a “before” photo but basically it was a bunch of trashed, hanging bits of plastic from all the damage I’ve done taking this car where it doesn’t belong.
@Sameer0Day 8 of WHW #hardware-party, I had to head out early because we had to go to our village :villager: for EID💫 . So, I woke up really early and did some wiring and assembled the bldc motor & tested the net thrust component, I got some reading around 1.1kg in net force, and then headed out. Rest of day was packed with EID preparation and i am awaiting tomorrow :akkoshrug: eagerly. Well, that was it for today! I'll see you all tomorrow! Bye, Goodnight!
PS: After being yelled at by my father for driving:driftt: , (In his own words) "weirdly" :weirddude: i tried some cool art filters and edited some pictures.
@shayon0Didn’t do anything much today. Went to hardware store and bought superglue and anti-slip rubber mat for my RC car stand, gonna see if this prevents the car from slipping around, wrote a blog on how I made my first web app too.
@HuzaifaAzhar-U04FS7WJLSH0Bruh....
Assembled the whole car and was experimenting with running motors when motor suddenly stopped working. Was scratching my head about what happened and after about an hour of head scratching I found out that I have blew up my L293d shield 🤡
Idk how it happened but anyways I will have to purchase a new one.
@SanjivAnand-U04FJ59VACD0Day 6 of WHW :winter-hardware-wonderland: :
Today made the changes to the shell part of the Tesla cyberTruck and sliced it in cura and ready to print. Will it print the shell properly? Will need 13hrs to find it 🌄
@Marios0The end of the third day of #hardware-party / Winter Hardware Wonderland! :winter-hardware-wonderland: Today was a somewhat big day for my Project aka Plant Location Chooser.
~~ Basic Project Description
Plant Location Chooser is a project that helps you choose the right place to plant your flowers. This is calculated via the Humidity, Temperature, etc.
Changelog
1️⃣ Fixed the HM10 bluetooth module for what it seems the fifth time. Today it was having trouble registering AT commands and it was driving me crazy lol.
2️⃣ I also added an HM10 Dev Mod for contacting the HM10 module via Serial.
3️⃣ After a long time, the BME280 module was successful installed, after I almost bent the pins :(.
4️⃣ A temperature option with a range has officially been implemented!
Tomorrow Plan ~~
Tomorrow I plan to start working on the official android app using Flutter! I am so excited lol. As usual here is a picture of the board
@SanjivAnand-U04FJ59VACD0Day 3 Of WHW:
Tried to install the required packages on raspberry Pi such as Open cv and stuff for the object detection and self driving algorithm. Went down into problems such as dependency issues, freezing of RPI during compiling etc.
Tomorrow will work on the chassis or the base part :winter-hardware-wonderland:
@Snow0(day 3 of #hardware-party )
cleaned up the assembly of the device in the car
@Sean0:winter-hardware-wonderland: Day 3
Had a somewhat unsucessfull day. Something happened overnight and now the pico driving my display only talks to my computer when the display isn't powered. it was working fine last night, I did get a new desk tho #hardware-party
@SanjivAnand-U04FJ59VACD0Day 2 of WHW:
#hardware-party Today, I configured the Pi camera with the raspberry Pi for my autonomous self driving Tesla cyber truck car 🚗. The camera 📷 is used to detect the objects near by and move according to the algorithm. :winter-hardware-wonderland:
@SyrusTolentino-U04J8GACJR30Day 1: We finally put all the parts together and now we're ready to solve the logistical problem of having to fit a lot on a small RC car chassis. We're also beginning to work on the software side of the project
@MariannaFairweather-U0323LCESTW0Hi, we're (@reedherlihy-U0468UMF4D9) (@sam-U04M6SVHVCP) (@MariannaFairweather-U0323LCESTW) working on a project we call Mr. Knock-out.
We're attempting to build an RC car from scratch.
We started by planning what we to do when we stumbled across a car that could run on the wall, It was too ambitious, because we had limited time to work on the project. So instead we decided to make an RC car.
We thought of a cool black and bright green design for the outside car.
Then we worked on installing MU editor, and looking over Ali express for any items we might need.
We also started to design the inside of our car with Tinker cad.
Finally we started soldering and wiring up our RP2040.
Then we started to connect it to the mechanical key board switches made by Gateron.
Now we're working on coding the buttons to do specific things.
@HuzaifaAzhar-U04FS7WJLSH0Assembling the chassis for the car. Also studying how to use Arudino and l293d shield motor driver
@Rhys-U04GECG3H8W0Day 1: Havent made significant progress but I got adapters to mount webcam onto RC car printed out
@ShouUrata-U04FHQUHG070Day 1 oh WHW
Made the caterpillars for my allterain rc vehicle. Treads are all 3d printed from PLA
@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0with winter wonderland soon approaching, I've begun printing components for the CNC machine!
in other news, I've progressed in terms of research for #sheepy-racing-league and have mostly done some basic html for debugging my diplomacy game. I'm just going to be working on animation tonight, may do some more thorough research into electronic design for the car and remote tomorrow.
@HenryBass-U02KEJ8T6D80I have almost returned! (As of writing this I'm in the back seat of someone else's car driving to the airport in Florida)
My parents got bored of me, so they shipped me off to a 7 day scuba diving trip in the Florida keys with everyone's favorite (all American 🇺🇸) child molesting organization!
Accidentally touched grass, got vomited on a second time on a boat, discovered how much you can price gouge popcorn if you don't let consumers escape the camp (10 fucking dollars for a bag of popcorn), and managed to do 11 dives in the week (I never want to see water again)
I'll be back in Vermont in about 7 hours where I can return to the usual schedule of hiding in my room on my computer avoiding social responsibility
Since I was tragically not eaten by a shark, it seems like I'll be back to making stuff here. I'll try to get a small ship out soon
@msw0Just passed 10k self-driven miles on my comma 2! My car has something like 15k miles in total, so that's a lot
@jzaleta0Today I'll go to a small trip 🗺️ so I won't have time to work on projects! Instead I'll be on the road 🚗 and then on an airplane ✈️ to go back to my first home! I will be reading some interesting books, listening to some cool music 🎧 and maybe I will draw 🖊️ a bit, play some games 🎮 or code 💻 locally depending on my devices batteries! 🔋 I'll try as well to share images, so meanwhile here's two very cool :blob-cool: landscape images 🌆 part of my first Scrapbook post of the day! :tw_tada:
@philipstudentemail0Been working on the electric go kart project recently. Been printing wood mounts and made a new motor mount. Still need to redesign drivetrain gears, redesign steering rack mounts (to be stronger), and design axel mounts
@jzaleta0Today I got to write more content for my website, design is very important, but been able to express what I want to share is too! I also studied today for my Organic Chemistry ⚗️ 🧪 exam that's going to be this next Monday and here's some plants 🌱 on a photo I took 📸 a while ago because I need an image to post here. It might look a bit blurry because I took it through a car's window. 🚗
@aaryan0Redis x Next.js full stack app in making! It'll be a car database with instant full text search!
Making this with the help of fireship.io's article.
I think I'm starting to like redis, it's fast and fun to work with :redis: :)
